On friday the 5th of March it will be the 5th year anniversary of our shop in Amsterdam! We are proud and happy that we can celebrate this event and we want to do this with the exhibition ’Salvaging Detroit City’. At this exhibition 3 pieces are shown ( the so called Detroit Icons ) that were created with wood salvaged in Detroit by Diederick Kraaijeveld, September 2009. The revenues of these artworks will, after a similair exhibition in Detroit, go back to urban renewal projects in this suffering city.  

Apart from the pieces in salvaged wood the exhibition features amazing photos from the man that was Kraaijeveld’s guide in the abandoned plants, city blocks and deserted hospitals in Detroit, Daniel Seybold. This local urban explorer documents the decay of the buildings in his city impressively.

Also the haunt for wood in Detroit was captured by director and cameraman Gideon Elings. His documentary will be premiered in Amsterdam during the opening on friday the 5th of March! The opening will be from 18:30 until 21:30

Friday the 5th of February we will have a new expo opening with images from the book All City Writers. Especially for this event the book’s author Andrea Caputo will be in our store to give us an exclusive insight on his project, which features more than 400 pages and contributions of more than 250 writers from all over the world. Everybody is invited for this one, so don’t hesitate to come by and get a signed copy of the book! As usual we have some drinks and some tunes for you, opening will be from 18:30 until 21:30.

Friday the 13th is always a nice date for whatever you want to do. It’s also a date which is easy to remember! Well therefore we want to invite you on Friday the 13th of November for the grand opening of the Amen exhibition for Amsterdam!

It’s gonna be a crazy night with special guest “Elzo Dirt” the man who is responsible for this artwork. We will open the exhibition at 18:30 until 21:30 with some drinks and fine tunes by DJ Delay from Waxwell records .

Especially for this exhibition tour Elzo and Carhartt made some limited T-shirts and posters. Some will be available here….
