For already the 10th time Carhartt presents to you the Etnies European Skateboard Championships 2010 from the 5th until the 8th of August in Basel, Zwitserland. IOU Ramps will be in charge of getting the party going with a redesigned streetcourse and miniramp.

The youngsters , 16 and under, start off the show with the Street Junior Champs on Thursday afternoon. On Friday we celebrate skateboarding all day long during the Street prequalification to find the ones who will compete against the Top 100 from Europe. This “VIP list” of 100 prequalified riders will be announced on www.skateboardeurope.com at the beginning of June. Saturday kicks off the miniramp with the qualification runs, as well as the Street qualification. Sunday is dedicated to the finals in street, miniramp and Girl’s Jam. Hopefully the crowd and the competitors will still be in the mood to have a good time after the Saturday night party mission.

This week we received a view copies of the book skateboarding 3D by Sebastian Denz. This photographer took pictures of members of the Carhartt skateboard team which you can check with the attached 3D glasses! Yes sir, space is the place, have a look and blow your mind! It’s almost time for the Dutch National Skateboard Competition in the Area 51 in Eindhoven. Since the level of Dutch skateboarding has grown really well last years, it’s gonna be a big happening for sure! In case you don’t know Area 51 and haven’t seen any skating from Dutch soil, have a look at this video from last years.  

Spektra is the title of the first ever Carhartt skateboard DVD that has just been released in  stores now…

With eleven different films, Spektra gives you an insight into the colorful world of characters and projects that Carhartt supports within skateboarding. Packed in a classic DVD box, Spektra comes with a folded, double sided poster. One side features a collage of photographs from Alexander Basile with images from the team that Alex shot during the time of filming. The other side is a Spektra logo poster, designed by Stefan Narancic
